Logo / marketing collateral / posters / banners
The AHRC-funded Midlands4Cities Doctoral Training Partnership brings together eight leading universities across the Midlands, to support research students to become experts in their field and to employ their knowledge and skills in their career destinations. They required a distinct identity that would offer cohesion, clarity and prestige to all their visual communications, both digital and in print. I developed a square-based logo to represent the four affiliated cities and to delineate a metaphorical arena for research, exchange and development, incorporating the wavelike forms of the M4C acronym. I made the beveled 45-degree angles a feature of both the custom logotype and the decorative pattern used on postcards and roll-out banners. I subsequently developed event posters and a suite of Arts and Humanities themed imagery for use as web page headings and advertising banners.
